M-Tafsiri Africa Band consist of:

Reagan Oduor Nyachienga is a charismatic Kenyan percussionist and a crafter of instruments. He dedicates his music to help and nurture Kenyan street children and underprivileged youth in the slum areas of Nairobi through music therapy and percussion lessons to enable their holistic growth.

Amalie Malmgren Asmild is a musician, storyteller and filmmaker. She is a vocalist and started playing the violin at the age of 6 years. She performed at her first storyteller festival at Moesgård Museum at the age of 11 and directed her first professional short film at the age of 14. Through her film, music and stories she questions life themes and seeks to promote reflection, openness and sharing between cultures.

Helle Asmild is a musician and a storyteller. She is educated at “Det Jydske Musikkonservatorium” (music academy) in Denmark with accordion as her main instrument. Aside from performing and giving music lessons, she is the mother of the Malmgren Asmild family.

Bjørn Malmgren-Hansen, the father of the Malmgren Asmild family, is a skilled autodidact musician who plays clarinet and saxophone. He is educated on DTU with a PhD in physical chemistry. He works on the Danish Technological Institute and gives performances and concerts part time.

Tabita Malmgren Asmild plays violin, mandolin and trumpet. She has worked as a church singer in Skanderborg Slotskirke since she was 14 years old. She is studying at MGK (part time education preparing for the music academy) as well as attending a science secondary school (HTX).

Ranva Malmgren Asmild is in her last year of primary school. She plays violin and ukulele as well as doing gymnastics and acrobatics training.

Andreas Malmgren Asmild plays violin and viola. He spends his spare time out of school on music – singing in choirs and performing in folk music bands and classical orchestras.

Halfdan Malmgren Asmild is the youngest member of M-Tafsiri Africa Band (born in 2006). He displays all the skills of a child growing up in a musical family and has been singing and playing the violin since the age of 2 years.
